FAQ

Buying and installing the NST‑H8, answered.

The questions body shops, importers and booth builders ask before an enquiry: booth size, utilities, delivery, training, warranty and export terms. For full technical data, see the product page.

Booth & requirements

What size spray booth does the NST-H8 need?

The robot installs into a standard-size paint booth with no major structural changes, and other gantry sizes are available for larger booths. NST confirms the exact booth requirements with you per project.

What power supply does the robot require?

The standard single-phase supply a body shop already has; no three-phase connection is needed. NST confirms the exact electrical requirements per project.

What compressed air supply is required?

A stable, dry compressed-air supply. NST confirms the exact air requirements per project.

Is it certified for the explosive booth atmosphere?

Yes. The arm and servo motors are explosion-protected with a purge-pressurized enclosure, independently certified for the booth environment, and the system is CE-marked. Details are on the product page.

Delivery, installation & training

How long does delivery take after signing?

Production of a standard-configuration system takes about one to two months; special configurations are confirmed per project. Shipping and customs clearance differ by destination, so NST agrees the production, transport and installation schedule with each customer or partner at contract stage and tracks the project through to commissioning.

How long do installation and training take?

NST plans a short on-site installation and training window with you, covering installation and commissioning followed by software-operation and spray-application training. NST sends three specialists: a mechanical engineer, an electrical engineer and a training engineer.

How many operators do we need to provide?

Two to three. NST’s training engineer trains them on site during the installation window, covering day-to-day operation, spray workflows and routine maintenance.

Warranty & support

What warranty comes with the system?

The system carries a 12-month warranty. Failures caused by product quality within the warranty period are resolved under NST’s warranty policy.

How does after-sales support work outside China?

NST provides remote technical support to its authorized partners, including commissioning help, software guidance, fault analysis and spray-trajectory service. The local partner provides day-to-day service to end customers in their market.

How quickly are spare parts available?

Standard spare parts typically ship within about one month. NST plans common spare-parts stock together with its regional partners so frequent items are available locally.

Day-to-day operation

How long does a color change take?

About three minutes, automatically. The robot docks the previous paint cup, flushes the spray gun and picks up the next color without manual intervention, which keeps batch work moving between colors.

Which vehicles and parts can it spray?

Most passenger-car bodies and exterior panels: doors, fenders, bumpers, hoods and similar covering parts of mainstream sedans and SUVs. Workpieces beyond the robot’s working envelope, with extreme geometries or with special process requirements are assessed case by case.

Export & pricing

What trade terms do you support for export?

Common international terms including EXW, FOB and CNF (CFR), agreed per project with the customer or partner.

How is the robot packed for shipping?

In fumigation-free wooden crates as standard export packaging. Large or specially shaped components travel in custom transport fixtures for protection at sea and on the road.

How much does the NST-H8 cost?

Pricing is by quotation and depends on configuration and market. Tell us about your booth and the cars or parts you paint, and we will prepare a detailed proposal and formal quote.
