NST hosts its third automotive aftermarket tools seminar in Dalian

Technical leaders from dozens of carmakers and battery manufacturers spent two days in Dalian in August 2026 for the third NST automotive aftermarket tools seminar. The theme was new energy, new tools, new aftersales.
NST has convened this seminar since 2019, when the first edition was held in Shanghai. The second, in Dalian in 2023, drew the aftersales engineering leads of 38 carmakers. The format splits the day: discussion in the morning, then the group moves onto the NST campus and puts hands on the equipment.
On the floor this year: the NST-H8 painting robot spraying a car body and panels inside a booth, EV battery service and test equipment, OEM special tools, and mobile service vehicles. Battery work took a larger share of the agenda than in past years, which is why battery manufacturers were invited for the first time.
The cooperation agreement with Surventis, the coatings business formerly known as BASF Coatings, was signed during the same gathering.
The clearest feedback from the room was about frequency. Two years between seminars is too long, and NST will shorten the interval.
